  1. Hi, I have painted this 3d art in virtual reality together with another VR artist (Piers Goffart) from LAVAMACHINE. Since we are totally new to Unity + FIGURAMA I wanted to use this challenge to learn both. I also want to check out if it is possible for Figurama to handle the file size of VR painting meshes and to learn how I can create a good experience from these. . ... I know I can't handle to paint an entire animation within the short time left. .... so the only animation you will notice is water particles and some light flickering. If thats not enough for the challenge then so be it. Grek already helped a lot (thanks) "Moby Dick" is entirely painted in VR with tiltbrush. Our approach at LAVAMACHINE is always "story is king" so I chosed this scene because it is meant to tell a story, based on Ahab's journey. Perfekt for subtiteling. Hope you like it. Have fun!
  2. We are really happy with the responses our challenge is receiving from the 3D Artists community. Our first 3D story challenge is currently ongoing and more Challengers are joining at the moment. The same goes for the team of judges, which we want to embody as many views from within the 3D art realm as possible. We'd like to introduce the judges, whom we are honored that they have accepted to evaluate the submissions in the challenge. These are the criteria: Originality (10 points) Creativity (10 points) Narrative quality (10 points) Artistic quality (10 points) Execution (10 points) Presenting... The Judges: Kirill Tokarev Editor in Chief at 80 Level Jamie McNulty Associate Art Director at The Coalition Rachele Doimo Art Director at Square Enix Javier Perez Senior Material Artist at Intrepid Studios Thank you all for participating in this new medium for 3D artists to express and showcase their talent. The 3D story challenge goes hand in hand with the creed of our platform, to build a storytelling medium and platform together, which lets 3D artists create Story products, just like 2D artists create Comics. We will work hard to make this upcoming challenge an enjoyable experience for all the participants, judges and viewers! Thank You! To join the Challenge, click this big green button:
  3. Idea: My idea for this challenge is about a woman named Grace who goes on a revenge path against a demon called the Abyss. Technique: 6 static scenes using Maya, Substance, and Unity
  4. It's a story set in an a Apocalyptic World that I did previous, more is coming soon!
  5. Hello, so my idea is to make a Fishing Village or a coast city, I will be using Autodesk Maya and of course Unity. I already have something to start so I just have to continue something from that concept.
